# Equipment placement

Place inverters, boards, and interconnection equipment on the site.

After [engineering setup](https://docs.solesca.com/engineering/overview/), use the engineering equipment controls to place the generated equipment on the map.

## Place and inspect equipment

Select equipment from the engineering palette and place it at the intended site location. Select placed equipment to inspect its properties and make the available adjustments.

Review inverter locations, AC boards, transformers, and the point of interconnection together with access routes and obstructions.

## Interconnection and grid equipment

Select the point of interconnection to review its settings, utility template, and design notes. Settings vary with the interconnection type.

Existing meters can include a utility meter number. Pole paths and medium-voltage lines have their own placement and inspection controls where included in the design.

## Before exporting

Check that all required equipment is placed and that wire routes are suitable. The AC wiring schedule requires all AC equipment to be placed.

Changing engineering setup can replace the equipment arrangement and clear placements. Review the warning before applying a new setup.

See [Engineering exports](https://docs.solesca.com/downloads/engineering/) for schedules, the bill of materials, and plan sets.
